Food Lifeline Dignity/Seattle Attendees 20171205 Food Lifeline Baked Goods - December 5

Dignity/Seattle's Food Lifeline volunteer contingent has grown to include a couple more volunteers from the Wallingford St. Ben's Parish.  Dignity Seattle's team of nine outpaced all others in two hours of sorting through various baked goods, and placing the newly packed boxes onto pallets of desserts, sliced breads, and other unsliced breads and rolls.  All involved rescued over 9000 pounds of baked goods providing nearly 7500 meals for our hungry neighbors across Western Washington.  Join the team on February 6, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm for the next Food Lifeline Volunteer opportunity.

Hard and fast working team of six bagged over 750 school lunches for children of Western Washington. The next volunteer night is Tuesday October 3rd.

Backpack preparation Backpack & School Supplies Drive for Mary's Place

Paula and Tish met up with over a couple dozen volunteers on Saturday, August 19th at the Church of Scientology in Seattle to fill 266 backpacks for school students of Mary's Place.  Various congregations from the Seattle area along with neighbors, friends and family contributed backpacks, school supplies, and money for the purchase of supplies.  Dignity/Seattle donated thirty 4GB USB flash drives to be included in the backpacks suitable for high school students.  The number of prepared backpacks has grown each of the four years.  Dignity/Seattle's donation to the drive together with that f
